The COTA Tower is not only an iconic Central Texas landmark, but also provides some of the best views of the country’s only permanent and purpose-built Formula 1 track during race weekends.

Located on the outside of the track near Turns 16-18, the COTA Tower is 251 feet tall at its highest point, with an observation deck 22 stories above the track. Directly below the tower is Germania Insurance Ampitheater- make sure to get tickets for the 2024 concert series before they’re gone!

Designed to evoke the racing energy which makes The Circuit world-famous, the COTA Tower’s architects incorporated material efficiency, thoughtful structural design, and elegance.

To reach the top, there is an external double helix staircase with 419 steps – or an elevator with only two buttons: 1 for the ground entrance, and 2 for the observation deck. Visitors to the observation deck can enjoy views of the entire track, the Texas Hill Country, and the downtown Austin skyline. A portion of the observation deck floor is structural laminated glass – allowing the bravest visitors to get a look at the track straight down below their feet.
There are year-round options for visiting the COTA Tower, including during Bike Nights and Peppermint Parkway as well as during race weekends as a ticket add-on. Catch the racing action from up above for a view like no other!
