Cruise COTA’s famed stars and stripes in a stress-free environment without the worry of city traffic while admiring fantastic sunset views of COTA’s signature Observation Deck and Austin skyline. After the evening ride concludes, cyclists can replenish and recharge with an ice-cold drink, mouth-watering refreshments and great conversations and camaraderie with fellow riders.

Please note: Bike Night presented by Ascension Seton will not occur on select Tuesday nights due to NASCAR, MotoGP and other track activity.

Rider Rules

Stay to the right if you’re a slower rider while others pass on the left.

Always check your shoulders — especially when re-entering the track.

Signal when merging or changing lanes to pass.

Adhere to guidance and the requests of track marshals.

Respect fellow riders.

Do not participate in aggressive or reckless riding.

FAQs

When do rides take place?

We hit the track on from 6pm until dusk each Bike Night. After dark, the fun continues with a tailgate. Bring your folding chairs!

Pricing and registration?

Riders should register online prior to the event here. Adult registration costs $10 online and $12 on-site. Children under 11 can register for $5. Season passes which guarantee a minimum 10 dates are available for $89 here. Online registration for the event closes the Monday before at 11:59 pm.

Are helmets required?

Wearing a helmet is highly encouraged, and all riders must sign a waiver at check-in. Riders age 18 and younger are required to wear a helmet.

If I bought a season pass, do I need to do anything?

If you bought a a season pass, just sign the waiver and you’re all set. You will automatically be registered for each week. Show up and check-in to get your wristband. Then, you’re all ready to ride!

Are bikes available for rent?

Yes! New in 2023: Bikes will be available to rent on-site for $25 while supplies last.* To reserve a bike in advance and guarantee your ride, please call Mike’s Bikes at (512) 919-6293.  One will be waiting for you when you arrive. Helmets are available to rent for $5.

*Rental bikes will not be available on 3/14 due to SXSW.

Will water be available?

We recommend bringing your own water bottle or hydration pack to stay refreshed. We will have water bottles available for purchase. In addition, there will be a water checkpoint at Turn 9.

Do you accept cash?

COTA is a cashless venue. COTA accepts Discover®, MasterCard®, and VISA®.

Are electric bicycles allowed?

Unfortunately, not. In addition, skateboards, electric skateboards and electric uni-cycles are not allowed either. Only pedal-powered bicycles and unicycles are allowed.

What about inclement weather?

Bike night is a rain or shine event! The event will go on unless we expect a torrential downpour or a high chance of lightning. Follow COTA’s social media accounts and this page for updated information.
