Bike Night Presented by Ascension Seton offers Central Texas residents the rare opportunity to utilize the only permanent, purpose-built Formula 1 track in America. To get the most out of Bike Night, make sure to bring these essentials.

A Helmet

Safety first! While riders under 18 years of age are required to wear a helmet when biking the track, it is recommended everyone don the correct PPE. What makes the track so exciting for racing is its corners and inclines, so while getting a great workout or having a fun ride, stay safe and protect others from getting hurt. Check the rider rules before hitting the track!

A Bike

Wondering why this isn’t first on the list? COTA has rentals! Courtesy of Mike’s Bikes and Tours, adults can find frames in multiple sizes at the track for rent – no worries if you don’t own a bike or can’t fit it in your car.

A Water Bottle

Bring a handy squeeze bottle or always-cool thermos to hydrate around the 3.41-mile track! A water station will be located at Turn 9 and water bottles will be available for purchase at the merch trailer to ensure attendees never have to cut their ride short because of fluids. Though it’s always useful to have a personal bottle ready!

Proper Attire

Whether Bike Night is training or just a Tuesday cruise-day, be sure to wear clothing that won’t hinder your ability to ride. Athleisure is just as good as cycling bibs! Don’t leave the house without closed toed shoes either.

Friends!

Whether a family outing, training night, or spontaneous adventure, cycling is always more fun with friends. Like a little competition off the track? Chill with your crew under the Paddock pavilion with corn hole, Giant Connect 4, and other tail gate games.

New to cycling or want to make more friends who share a passion for two-wheels? Download the Strava App and join the Ascension Texas Sports Performance Cycling Club. Record rides, get to know regulars, and keep an eye on Bike Night events for special opportunities. See y’all at the track!
