Welcome to our cozy campus: The themed villages of Peppermint Parkway
Ready, set, GLOW! The dazzling displays at Peppermint Parkway are designed to amplify everyone’s holiday cheer. Come see the magic for yourself.
Are they red with white stripes or white with red stripes? Candy Cane Lane is submerged in lights that sparkle extra bright. The larger-than-life sized candy canes offer a stunning view of COTA’s iconic observation tower and year-round candy cane. If you’ve ever purchased a ticket to an event online, you’ve probably heard of Ticketmaster – thank this sponsor for Candy Cane Lane’s red and white sights.
ATXmas pays homage to all things Austin. Bevo (hook ‘em!), the “I love you so much” sign (SoCo posse gather), and guitars dedicated to the Live Music Capital of the World, are all LIT as bright as the UT Tower on a Longhorn-win-kind-of-night. It is only fitting Tequila 512, a local spirit brand with a nod to the Austin area code, sponsors the ATXmas village.
Santa asked Brown Distributing for a special holiday treat this year: More cookies! Smell the warm spices as you approach Gingerbread Alley with a whole ginger family, as happy as can be.
While passing through the mesmerizing Twinkle Trail, jump on Google Chrome (Twinkle Trail’s sponsor) on your mobile device and try to find out how many lights make Peppermint Parkway glow. Make it quick though! Limit your screen time in this sparkly village because he sees you when you’re tweeting, he knows when you’re awake … and present with your family and friends.
Did you know the Abominable Snowman has a day job? He lives at Fuel-La-La-La where he works with Valero to fuel Peppermint Parkway’s supreme holiday festivities! The Abominable Snowman, not especially known for gift giving, is helping Santa deliver a little extra something under servicemen’s trees this year. For military members, gas up on holiday magic with a special holiday gift on Dec. 19.
Ornament Ave is next on the enchanting path. Feel like an elf in Santa’s workshop with intricate giant trinkets lighting the way. Need something to DIY? Transform a mini bottle of Balcones, sponsor of Ornament Ave, into a unique decoration for your Wonder Woods tree.
Dell Children’s Hospital and Ascension Seton, both COTA 365 partners, have come together to turn the rain to snow in the chilliest of villages. Filled with fan favorite cold-climate friends, Frozenland will be the winter of all wonderlands. If any stresses or worries creep into your mind as you cruise through Frozenland, just “let it go.”
Not a silent night in sight while Club Sleigh is rockin’ around Peppermint Parkway. The upbeat Christmas tunes, flashing lights, and the LIT vibe transform the Parkway into one elve of a party. Be careful not to enter the party as nice and exit as naughty–He knows when you’ve been bad or good, so be good for goodness sake.
After the one-mile of holiday love and lights, there’s much more to be seen. Need an extra spark(le)? The Grinch will try to keep this little treat to himself but he’s not the only one bringing an added kick to this holiday season. Drive Coffee, this year’s sponsor of the Candy Cane Cruise, serves the juice needed to cross the finish line of COTA’s world-famous 3.41-mile track.
Additionally, head over to Peppermint Plaza and experience more magic at the Holiday Market and Peppermint Pub (sip on some cocoa or cocktails). As you exit COTA’s campus, don’t miss Wonder Woods Discount Tree Lot where you can find a frugal fir. Looking for a gift for an extra special someone? Check out the cars displayed by Covert, pre-wrapped with a big red bow.
Ready to come back for more? Check out the Peppermint Parkway calendar for special themed nights. One you can’t miss: Thursday, Dec. 15, bring old electronics to COTA for E-Recycling Night in partnership with Dell Technologies and Goodwill Industries. Drop off bins will be located at the entrance tents of Lot A. You’ll receive a Candy Cane Cruise voucher as a ‘thanks’ for your donation! Easy winter sprucing for a free lap around COTA’s world-famous track? Best gift ever!
*COTA offers discounts to service members on all nights at Peppermint Parkway.
