COTA Honors Military Community With Military Outpost During F1 Weekend
AUSTIN, TX (Tuesday, October 1) – Circuit of The Americas (COTA) announced today that through a partnership with the Texas Lottery, they are introducing the Military Outpost –a private hospitality space for the military community to enjoy during the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix, November 1-3. Additionally, COTA and the Texas Lottery will invite 200 military personnel to enjoy the racing action and musical performances at Formula 1 weekend. OSD, through their partnership with COTA and Texas Lottery, will distribute these tickets to local Veterans Service Organizations in Central Texas.
“We are grateful to our veterans and honored to be able to host them at many events at Circuit of The Americas,” said COTA chairman, Bobby Epstein. “During Formula 1 weekend, we are pleased to partner with the Texas Lottery and OSD (Operation Supply Drop) to put these tickets in the hands of deserving veterans and to offer a hospitality space for the military community to experience the thrill of the United States Grand Prix.”
The Military Outpost will be located between Turn 18 and the Austin360 Amphitheater, giving military personnel and their guests tremendous views of the stars and stripes of Turns 18 and 19, as well as Turn 1’s iconic 133-foot climb. In addition to the high-adrenaline racing, guests can look forward to special appearances and activations from the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, GAEMS gaming system, and military organizations, including the Texas Veterans Land Board, the Texas Veterans Commission, and OSD. A Military ID must be shown at the entrance of the Military Outpost to gain access to the hospitality area for that person and one guest.
Gary Grief, Executive Director of the Texas Lottery said, “Supporting Texas veterans is at the core of the Texas Lottery’s mission, so we are thrilled to partner with COTA to make this year’s Formula 1 Grand Prix a memorable experience for our active military and veterans by providing them tickets to the race and co-hosting the Military Outpost.”
