Two new disciplines will be added to the ever-evolving lineup at X Games Austin, set for June 4-7 at Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas.

Competitions this year, the second time the X Games will be held at the world-class racetrack, will consist of skateboard, BMX, Motocross and Rally and Off-Road Truck. Of course, there will be all of the favorites – street and park, Big Air, Best Whip and Step Up to name a few, but new this year will be Moto X Quarter Pipe and Big Air Doubles.

But just what are these new disciplines?

Moto X Quarter Pipe will feature six freestyle riders each attempting a trick off a single quarterpipe feature. Each rider will have two runs, with his best score counting toward a final ranking.

Big Air Doubles pairs a skateboard and BMX athlete performing tricks in a team competition. Each team will take five runs, with each athlete taking individual runs and receiving a score for tricks performed over the gap and on the quarterpipe. The final score will be a combination of the team’s best gap and best quarterpipe scores.

Tickets for the 2015 X Games Austin go on sale at 4 p.m. central Jan. 23 at www.ticketmaster.com/xgames.
