COTA Offers Motogp Post-race Concert Featuring Austin ‘Musician of the Year’ Bob Schneider

Circuit of The Americas (COTA) has invited Austin “Musician of the Year” and local favorite Bob Schneider to perform a concert in the Austin360 Amphitheater at the conclusion of the 2014 Red Bull Grand Prix of The Americas on Sunday, April 13. Schneider’s performance is included in the price of admission to the MotoGP event and will cap off another spectacular weekend of world-class sports and entertainment at Austin’s grand prix racing circuit.

The Red Bull Grand Prix of The Americas features the very best motorcycle racers in the world in three divisions, Moto2™, Moto3™ and the premier class, MotoGP. This popular international series will make only two appearances in the United States this year, with COTA’s race being the first stop on the schedule. The weekend is loaded with on-track action, including practice sessions on Friday, April 11; practice and qualifying rounds on Saturday, April 12; and MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 races set for Sunday, April 13. In addition to all of the great racing action, fans attending the MotoGP event at COTA will be treated to three days of affordable fun and amazing experiences, with high-flying Red Bull athletes and performers, the Ducati Island fan zone—only at COTA in 2014—and Bob Schneider’s post-race concert capping a weekend of exciting activities that are FREE with paid admission.

Austin’s favorite singer-songwriter, Bob Schneider, performs live during MotoGP at Circuit of The Americas

An award-winning, eclectic and charismatic performer, Bob Schneider enjoys a diehard fan base in his hometown, Austin, Texas, as well as nationwide. He’s flourished as an independent recording artist, releasing five albums, hundreds of digital singles and fronting three bands, The Scabs, Texas Bluegrass Massacre, and Lonelyland, simultaneously. He’s racked up multiple Austin Music Awards, including 2013’s “Musician of the Year,” “Best Album,” and “Best Songwriter.” His music has been featured in numerous motion pictures including Miss Congeniality and Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood.
