This is no joke: Journey and Steve Miller Band will perform at the Austin360 Amphitheater on Thursday, March 5, with special guest Tower of Power.

Journey has sold 80 million albums worldwide and has earned 19 Top 40 singles and 25 gold, platinum and multi-platinum albums since the band formed in San Francisco in 1973. The band’s hits include “Wheel in the Sky,” “Faithfully,” “Separate Ways” and “Don’t Stop Believin’,” the biggest selling song from the 20th century in iTunes history.

“We are all so looking forward to playing again for you with the great company of the Steve Miller Band and Tower of Power,” said the members of Journey. “It’s going to be a San Francisco musical delight from the past and present, moving full speed ahead into the future!”

The Steve Miller Band has sold more than 30 million records in a career spanning more than 40 years. He has released two albums in the past few years, including the No. 1 blues album, Bingo, and its successor, Let Your Hair Down – the first new Steve Miller Band in eighteen years.

“I can’t think of a better way for the JOKER to celebrate his 40th and the Steve Miller Band to enjoy next year than playing all our hits for all of our fans as we tour the entire USA with our brother San Francisco bands, Journey and the Tower Of Power,” Steve Miller said. “This is going to be a not-to-be-missed trifecta of the best of soul, greatest hits and arena rock by three of the greatest bands to come out of San Francisco, clearly a once-in-a-lifetime event. We can’t wait to get started!”

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 21, at austin360amphitheater.com, all Ticketmaster outlets or by calling 1-800-745-3000 to charge by phone.
