AUSTIN, Texas (Nov. 16, 2013) – Infiniti Red Bull Racing’s Sebastian Vettel continued to dominate his Formula 1™ racing rivals by taking the pole for the 2013 FORMULA 1 UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX, while 78,886 fans soaked up the warm temperatures and hot competition at Circuit of The Americas.

The young German driver, who has already claimed the Formula One™ World Champion drivers’ title for the 2013 season, turned in a sizzling lap time of 1:36.338 to claim pole position for the Nov. 17 Austin Grand Prix. Vettel and his support team were clearly enjoying the qualifying rounds. At one point, one of his engineers used the phrase “shake-and-bake” over the radio—a reference to the character of “Ricky Bobby” in the popular American motorsports comedy Talladega Nights.
