Circuit of The Americas is pleased to announce that Austin360 Amphitheater has been awarded Pollstar’s “Best New Major Concert Venue” for 2013. The award was announced at tonight’s 25th Annual Pollstar Concert Industry Awards in Nashville, Tenn.
Pollstar, the only trade publication covering the worldwide concert industry, hosts an annual award ceremony to recognize the best in the industry. Other new concert venues in the running for this award were America’s Cup Pavilion in San Francisco, First Direct Arena in Leeds, United Kingdom, Perth Arena in Perth, Australia and Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Neb.
“This award is testament to the incredible vision that the Miro Rivera design team put into creating an outdoor venue that marries world-class style, acoustical excellence and fun,” COTA Chairman Bobby Epstein said. “To all the fans that brought the venue to life, and to our employees who made it possible, this award is yours.”

Featured artists during the Austin360 Amphitheater’s freshman season included Kenny Chesney, Jimmy Buffett & The Coral Reefer Band, Mumford & Sons, Dave Matthews Band and Lil Wayne. The 2014 season starts with the Arcade Fire Reflektor Tour on April 10. Other performances scheduled for 2014 include Jimmy Buffett & The Coral Reefer Band, Lionel Richie with Ceelo Green, Fall Out Boy with Paramore and OneRepublic. Additionally RedFest presented by Natty Light on Memorial Day Weekend will bring country’s top artists, such as Tim McGraw and Florida Georgia Line, to Austin360 Amphitheater, while X Games Austin June 5-8 will feature Kanye West, Pretty Lights and Flaming Lips.
