Circuit of The Americas donates hundreds of holiday trees to DVISD for attendance initiative
Circuit of The Americas (COTA) and the Del Valle Independent School District (DVISD) announced today a partnership for the 2022 holiday season to encourage DVISD students to attend school.
The Attendance for Trees initiative was devised by DVISD and will be fulfilled by COTA to encourage school attendance, improve learning, and strengthen the community. “We are appreciative of COTA’s partnership with us to help reward students and families for being at school every day,” said Superintendent Dr. Annette Tielle, “Attendance is critical to student success and this program supports student attendance while spreading holiday cheer to our families.”
At this year’s 3rd annual Peppermint Parkway, a new experience called Wonder Woods—a discounted tree lot—will host the donated trees for DVISD families until pick up. Students who maintain perfect attendance through Dec. 2, will be eligible to receive one (1) complimentary Fraser Fir tree for their family. Beginning Dec. 3, DVISD families who have been granted a tree may visit Wonder Woods at Peppermint Parkway to pick out the perfect tree for their home.
“Del Valle is home to our campus, neighbors, and many of our employees—we’re pleased to support DVISD students by combining the importance of education with the giving spirit of the holidays,” COTA Chairman Bobby Epstein said.
Peppermint Parkway at Circuit of The Americas begins Nov. 25 and runs select nights through Dec. 30. Tickets are on sale now!
