More than motorsports: Here’s what to do at COTA during F1 USGP weekend

From Lucha Libre Wrestling and Axe Throwing, To Live Ice Sculpting And Flash Tattoos, Fans Can Expect a Jam-Packed Weekend on Nonstop Entertainment

A variety of entertainment options will be available at COTA during Formula 1 United States Grand Prix weekend! With an already stacked lineup of world-renowned performances from artists including Green Day (Oct. 21), Ed Sheeran (Oct. 22), Interpol (Oct. 23) and several local musicians, fans will experience a entertainment-packed weekend of high speed, sound, and fun.

Grand Plaza

Canine Stars – An educational entertainment act featuring a team of dog trainers and their adopted dogs from the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and beyond, the “America’s Got Talent” contestants have garnered fame across the country for their impressive act.

Ferrari Challenge – Those looking to learn more about the history of the Ferrari Challenge Series can stop by and snap a pic with F1 Ferrari 2023 livery.

Ricky Bobby – Famed fictional NASCAR superstar will also be in attendance interacting with fans and turning on his “Talladega Nights” charm in the Grand Plaza.

Speed Racer Mach 5 – Speed Racer’s famous set of wheels will also be on hand for the perfect photo op.

F1 Fanzone – Head to the tent you know and love for the chance to take part in the Pit Stop Challenge and to learn more about eSports in Formula 1.

Museum of Ice Cream 50ft sprinkle pool – More birthday fun! A sweet photo op and comes complete with free ice cream for fans!

Free birthday cake – Keep an eye out for a giant birthday cake made to celebrate the track’s 10th year of Formula 1 USGP.

Monster trucks and Hollywood cars– Formula 1 cars aren’t the only cars guests will experience during race weekend – catch epic rides like the DeLorean, Batmobile, Bumblebee, and Ghostbuster Ecto-1.

Monkey Shoulder scotch – Adults can top off the sweet treats with a cocktail served from a cement mixing truck that’s been transformed into a massive, functional cocktail mixer – something you’ll have to see to believe.

Live ice sculpting – Enjoy your birthday cake while watching artists carve masterpieces one chip at a time.

Axe throwing – Test your mettle and your aim against wood bullseyes with this very Texas sport.

El Pulpo – Famous for its Burning Man flames, everyone’s favorite cephalopod will be located in COTA’s center field this year.

Gastro Garage – Enjoy heaps and heaps of culinary treats!

Pecan Street Festival at COTA – Traverse Austin’s beloved Pecan Street Festival, brought directly to you from the infamous 6th Street for one weekend only.

The Biergarten (Between Turns 1 & 2)

UT’s Longhorn Racing – Stop by to say ‘hi’ and see the UT Longhorn Racing team’s Formula SAE cars.

Lonestar Land (on Tunnel Rd by Turn 3)

Permanent bracelets – Hop on the trend and get a custom-fit, welded bracelet, styled and crafted by Link x Lou.

Permanent tattoos – Memorialize the weekend with friends at the Lonestar Tattoo Saloon.

Texas Tourism’s Main Straight – Guests from across the globe will also be able to learn more about the state of Texas as 40 cities send vendors to show how they’re one of a kind.

Lucha Libre wrestling – Catch fan favorite wrestling matches going on throughout the weekend.

Mega Piñatas – You won’t forget these faces anytime soon! Have a photoshoot with the mega piñatas of all your favorite drivers.
