SCHEDULE RELEASED FOR LONE STAR LE MANS AT CIRCUIT OF THE AMERICAS SEPT. 18-20

AUSTIN, Texas (August 6, 2014) – The countdown is on to Circuit of The Americas’ Lone Star Le Mans weekend. The event will be a Texas-sized celebration of sports car racing and entertainment, including two of the world’s most-loved endurance racing series—the TUDOR United SportsCar Series and the FIA World Endurance Championship Series (WEC)- along with racing from Porsche GT3 Cup series and Continental Tire Sports Car Championship (CTSC).

At this event, the cars are the stars of the show, and fans can enjoy open access to these impressive machines and the skilled competitors who pilot them, including famous drivers like TV star Patrick Dempsey and former Formula 1™ driver Mark Webber.  The Lone Star Le Mans also marks the debut of night racing at Austin’s award-winning grand prix circuit.

In addition to the unique racing options offered at the Circuit, the weekend will also offer a variety of family-friendly entertainment options suitable for all ages. An open paddock and pit walk allow spectators up-close access to the teams, drivers and race cars. The purchase of a two-day pass will also provide access to a free bonus day at the track on Thursday, Sept. 18.

The Circuit will be offering a variety of live music entertainment including a headlining performance from American rock band Blue Oyster Cult at the Austin360 Amphitheater. Guests will also enjoy a post-race fan track invasion, driver autograph sessions, a fan forum featuring a driver Q&A session, and activities and games for children throughout the weekend. Tickets for Circuit of The Americas’ Lone Star Le Mans start at $79 for a two-day (Friday-Saturday) pass, which includes free Thursday access. Kids ages 12 and under receive free general admission with a ticketed adult. Tickets allow guests to sit in reserved seats AND explore all general admission areas of the venue.
