MOTO3™ QUALIFYING: RINS RUNS AWAY WITH POLE POSITION

Alex Rins was not only the fastest in Saturday’s third and final practice session, he also ran the fastest time in qualifying in the Moto3 series, posting a blistering 2:16.396 on his No. 42 Estralla Galicia 0.0 bike on the new Circuit of The Americas™ Grand Prix racetrack. This will be his third pole position in this his second year on the Moto3 series.

The 17-year-old rider from Barcelona will share the front row with the Moto3 points leader Luis Salom, who’ll be atop the No. 39 bike for the Red Bull KTM Ajo team, plus Maverick Viñales, riding the No. 25 KTM bike for Team Calvo.
