Bike Night powered by Ascension Seton returns to Circuit of The Americas this fall with 4 more unforgettable rides. This event offers riders the experience to clip in and cruise COTA’s famed stars and stripes in a stress-free environment without the worry of city traffic while admiring fantastic sunset views of COTA’s signature Observation Deck and Austin skyline. After the ride concludes, cyclists can replenish and recharge with an ice-cold drink, mouth-watering refreshments and great conversations and camaraderie with fellow riders.
Bike Night Experiences
Observation Deck Access
Take a pit stop during your ride and see The Circuit and Downtown Austin from 251 feet in the air! After you ascend to the top of the Observation Deck, you’ll have a moment to catch your breath as you look out over the track as the sun sets. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online or on-site in the COTA Shop. This can only be accessed from the track by riders participating in Bike Night.
Each month, we’ll be host a theme ride! Get out your costumes, purchase a limited-edition Bike Night themed shirt, enjoy an all-new curated playlist and other surprises that await. Click the schedule tab for the complete list of theme nights.
Healthy Food Options
In addition to Southside Flying Pizza, new grab-and-go healthy food items including wraps, chicken salad snack platters and vegetable/fruit cups will be available for sale.
Bike Night Merchandise
We'll be debuting an all-new array of signature Bike Night merch items in 2022! You'll be able to ride in style with new shirts, kits and more. New merchandise items will be added throughout the season.
Corn hole, giant connect four, sponsor activations and other surprises await in our new post-ride celebration area. This makes it the perfect place to hang out and socialize with other riders post-ride.
Those with a competitive streak can become a member of the Ascension Texas Sports Performance Cycling Club on Strava. Strava will record biker’s’ laps while cycling on the track and club members will have a chance to win awesome prizes for best lap times, improvements in fitness across the season, most miles completed at COTA, best themed outfit and more. The club is free to join and cyclists of all abilities are encouraged to sign up!
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHEN DO RIDES TAKE PLACE?
We hit the track on from 6pm until dusk each Bike Night. After dark, the fun continues with a socially-distant tailgate. Bring your folding chairs!
PRICING AND REGISTRATION?
Riders should register online prior to the event here. Adult registration costs $10 online and $12 on-site. Children under 11 can register for $5. Season passes which guarantee a minimum 15 dates are available for $120 here. Online registration for the event closes the Monday before at 11:59 pm.
ARE HELMETS REQUIRED?
Wearing a helmet is highly encouraged, and all riders must sign a waiver at check-in. Riders age 18 and younger are required to wear a helmet.
IF I BOUGHT A SEASON PASS, DO I NEED TO DO ANYTHING?
If you bought a a season pass, just sign the waiver and you're all set. You will automatically be registered for each week. Show up and check-in to get your wristband. Then, you're all ready to ride!
ARE BIKES AVAILABLE FOR RENT?
Unfortunately, bikes will not be available for rent. Please bring your own bike!
WILL WATER BE AVAILABLE?
We recommend bringing your own water bottle or hydration pack to stay refreshed. We will have water bottles available for purchase. In addition, there will be a water checkpoint at Turn 9.
DO YOU ACCEPT CASH?
For limited interactions, we recommend using credit or debit cards for on-site food and drink. However, cash will be accepted on-site.
ARE ELECTRIC BICYCLES ALLOWED?
Unfortunately, not. In addition, skateboards, electric skateboards and electric uni-cycles are not allowed either. Only pedal-powered bicycles and unicycles are allowed.
WHAT ABOUT INCLEMENT WEATHER?
Bike night is a rain or shine event! The event will go on unless we expect a torrential downpour or a high chance of lightning. We will make any cancellation calls by 4 PM that afternoon. Follow COTA's social media accounts and this page for updated information.
As Bike Night powered by Ascension Seton grows in popularity, we want to remind riders of these rules of the road:
Stay to the right if you’re a slower rider while others pass on the left.
Always check your shoulders — especially when re-entering the track.
Signal when merging or changing lanes to pass.
Adhere to guidance and the requests of track marshals.
Respect fellow riders. Do not participate in aggressive or reckless riding.
