Save time and money with COTA’s shuttle service! After a widely successful run in 2022, the shuttles are back for the 2023 Formula 1 Lenovo United States Grand Prix. Guests will see last year’s improvements of more than 600 buses, round trip service from three different locations around Austin, and a dedicated bus lane.

RIDESHARE DISCLAIMER: COTA Blvd will be restricted to permitted vehicles and buses only. For guest’s arriving at the McAngus drop-off zone, a tram will be available to the Grand Plaza. All Rideshare services will drop-off at Del Valle High School, where guests can then board a bus to be dropped-off at the Grand Plaza.

Waterloo Park

This is the closest drop-off point to the Circuit entrance available. The Waterloo Park shuttle hub is the only shuttle with direct drop-off and pick-up at the Grand Plaza Gates. Primarily comprised of luxury motor coaches, this route offers parking for $20/day at the garages between Trinity and San Jacinto. Prices subject to change.

Barton Creek Square Mall

Located near the intersection of Loop 1 and HWY 360 (Capital of Texas Highway), the Barton Creek Square Mall shuttle hub is a free parking lot with service varied between a mix of air-conditioned school buses and motor coaches. Shuttle pick-up and drop-off is located near JCPenney. This hub is not available on Friday of race weekend. Prices subject to change.

Travis County Expo Center

Located near the intersections of HWY 290/US 183 and the 130 Tollway, the Travis County Expo Center shuttle hub is a free parking lot with service in primarily air-conditioned school buses. Please enter and exit this facility at “Gate 1” located off Decker Lane. Prices subject to change.

  • Round-Trip Price: $89/person/3-day Weekend Pass or $29/person/day with Advance Purchase

*Travis County Expo Center and Barton Creek Square Mall shuttles drop-off and pick-up at the McAngus road depot which is a 10-15-minute walk to the Grand Plaza gates or a short tram ride away.

Shuttle Logistics

Children 3 and under ride for free. The last inbound shuttle to COTA will depart at 2 p.m. on Sunday, and 6:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Shuttles stop running 60 minutes after music stops on Friday and Saturday. The longest transit times occur on Race Day Sunday between 9:30am and 12:15pm.

Rideshare Discalimer

COTA Blvd will be restricted to permitted vehicles and buses only. Similarly, rideshare (Uber, Lyft, etc) services will operate out of the Del Valle High School parking lot and can only be accessed by a COTA shuttle (complimentary 3.5-mile ride). To ensure a successful transit experience, rideshare vehicles will not be permitted on McAngus Road or COTA Blvd during race weekend.

Shuttle FAQs

Can I purchase a shuttle pass when I arrive at the pick-up location? 

A limited amount of shuttle passes may be available at shuttle departure/pick-up locations. These may be sold on a standby basis if available and are NOT guaranteed. We strongly encourage race fans to purchase their shuttle package before race weekend as early as possible.

What payment methods can be used to purchase shuttle passes?  

Credit and debit cards are accepted.

What is the maximum number of shuttle passes I can buy?  

A maximum of (8) shuttle passes per transaction are permitted.

How do we redeem shuttle passes?

Please follow signage and directions to the ticketing area at your selected offsite shuttle locations and have your mobile ticket ready to be scanned. One of COTA’s event staff members will provide you with a wristband that will grant you access on the shuttle.

When does the first bus depart?

The first bus will depart approximately 1 hour before gates open each day.

How often will the shuttles run? 

Shuttles to Circuit of The Americas will run continuously until 6:30pm Friday and Saturday. Return service will end 60 minutes after music ends on Friday and Saturday night. Shuttles will run continuously all day on Sunday.

How will I know what shuttle to take at the end of the day?

Guest service teams will be present onsite to help assist fans locate their shuttle. All shuttle lines and wristbands will be color coordinated with a specific shuttle route. The Downtown Shuttle will be red, white and blue. The Travis County Expo Center Shuttle will be yellow. The Barton Creek Square Mall Shuttle will be teal.

Where do I park for the Downtown Shuttle?

Parking garages are located between 12th and 15th street at San Jacinto and Trinity.

If I am using rideshare for the Downtown Shuttle, what address do I use?

Rideshare drop-off for the Downtown Shuttle will be at 12th between Red River and Trinity or at 500 E 12th St.

Where is the Downtown Shuttle located?

The Downtown Shuttle depot is located on Trinity St between 12th and 15th street, next to Waterloo Park. You should enter Waterloo Park off 12th Street and Trinity or from the Farmer Bridge on Red River near 15th St.

Where does the Downtown Shuttle drop-off and pick-up at COTA?

You will be dropped off and picked up at the same location: The north and south Lot B/D cut-out bus depots adjacent to COTA’s Grand Plaza entrance.

How do I get to the Expo Center?

Please enter the Expo Center using Gate 1 off Decker Lane. The Expo Shuttle pick-up is located at the show barn. Head to the ticket booth inside the show barn to scan or purchase your shuttle passes and hop on the shuttle.

Is there ADA parking at all offsite shuttle locations?

Every off-site location will have a designated ADA parking section.
