Circuit of The Americas Partners with Kevin Garnett's Hoop It Up Tour to Host 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament on May 9-10, 2020
The greatest three on three basketball tournament in the world is coming to the world’s greatest circuit. Circuit of The Americas (COTA) is continuing to expand on its vision to create a world-class experiential sports, hospitality, and entertainment district with fun at every turn by partnering with Hoop It Up and Neighborhood Sports to announce the first-ever, ATX Hoop It Up. The three on three basketball tournament will tip off on COTA’s famed front stretch May 9-10.
Hoop It Up began in 1989 in Dallas, as a grassroots basketball tournament, and today is widely regarded as the most famous three on three basketball tournament in the world. In 2019, former NBA superstar Kevin Garnett’s company Big Ticket Sports purchased the tournament and has since committed to expanding the Hoop It Up tour coast to coast. Hoop It Up offers competition for all ages and levels of ability.
“We are excited to partner with Kevin and Hoop It Up to bring this amazing event to COTA,” said COTA Chief Revenue Officer Tim Prukop. “Players and fans alike will love what is sure to be the most unique basketball tournament anywhere in the world.”
“We are proud to partner with Hoop It Up and COTA for this event and we want to invite all of the youth of Central Texas to bring out their squad,” said Neighborhood Sports Program Director Hector Santiago. “This is a great way for kids, regardless of skill level to experience the excitement of three on three basketball.”
