Circuit of The Americas’ paddock is a hive of activity Saturday morning as teams prepare for the second day of the Pirelli World Challenge season-opener.

If you’ve ever wanted to see what it’s like to be behind the scenes at a race track, the Pirelli World Challenge has what you’re looking for.

The event features an open paddock, allowing fans to walk around the cars and even watch and talk to crewmembers and drivers as they work to get the most out of their machines.

Already this morning, cars are being fired up – a symphony of low rumbles created by varying exhaust notes. Everywhere you turn, tires are being cleaned, cars are being refueled and drivers are talking with their mechanics as they get ready to race.

Meanwhile, the interactive displays and sponsor booths are opening up, their speakers blasting music that gets drowned out every time a car roars past.

Fans are also making their way through the activity, snapping photos and pointing out different vehicles.

Qualifying sessions will be held all morning, and the first races will take place in the afternoon.

Tickets for this weekend’s racing and festivities are still available at the box office at the Circuit.
