It’s easy to describe a monkey riding a dog herding sheep. But what words can’t do is truly describe the experience of seeing a monkey. Riding a dog. Herding sheep.

Let that sink in. It’s really something you have to see to fully understand.

Whiplash, as the monkey is called, was one of many attractions that greeted guests throughout Circuit of The Americas last weekend at the 2014 Formula 1 United States Grand Prix.

The 1,500-acre campus was transformed into a motorsports festival, with interactive games and activities for all ages, themed bars, more than 60 of Austin’s famous food trucks and live music from Live and Kid Rock.

Many of the attractions were located around the Grand Plaza, such as Whiplash, stilt walkers and whimsical creations from Austin Bike Zoo. The smell of hot dogs, hamburgers, turkey legs and tacos filled the air, and ice cream trucks and cold beer offered a way to chill out.
